Monthly Membership Meetings

Members of the GCLA and their guests meet the second Monday evening of each month at 6:30 PM to network and to receive continuing education. Our programs focus on providing current information concerning the “Green Industry.” GCLA sponsors provide a delicious meal at each meeting and are given opportunity to speak about their product consistent with the association's mission and educational component. We encourage any potential member to attend a meeting. to obtain additional information concerning the association, Email us at info@gcla.net

2013 Meeting Sponsors

January 14th    Mid-Atlantic STIHL will sponsor our membership meeting and it will be held at Little Pigs BBQ on Alpine Road at 6:30 pm -Our speaker will be Ron Cowart from Midlands Technical College This will be our "Kick-Off-Party for the GCLA's 20th anniversary.  Don't miss the party. February 11th -Corbin Turf, Syngenta, and USC Sports Turf and Landscaping will sponsor our February meeting and it will be held at the USC Baseball stadium. Thanks so much to Derek Oglesby, Corbin Turf, Larry Feller, Syngenta,  Clark Cox, USC's Director for Sports Turf and Landscaping.

March 11th - Hi Cotton Greenhouses and the Riverbanks Zoo and Garden will sponsor our March membership meeting - The meeting will be held at Riverbanks Zoo ~in the Ndoki Lodge  - Attendees will enter through the Ndoki Gatewway. (Go left towards the main entrance when they enter the zoo parking lot. and go past the main entrance and the Ndoki Gateway will be on their right and it will be lighted and well marked.)  There will be a Gate Attendant to direct you to the Lodge.  We will have two speakers, Melodie Scott Leach, Director of Habitat Horticulture and Ed Diebold, Director of Animal Collections and Conservation.  Ms. Leach will speak about horticulture at Riverbanks and Mr. Diebold will speak about the Association of Zoos & Aquariums accreditation process.  Thanks to all at the Riverbanks Zoo and to those at Hi Cotton for sponsoring a great March membership meeting. 

April 8th - Palmetto Lawn & Leisure will sponsor our April meeting and our meeting will be held at their location on Hwy. 378.

May 13th - Blanchard Compact Equipment will sponsor our meeting and it will be held at their location on Buckner Drive.
