Monthly Membership Meetings
Members of the GCLA and their guests meet the second Monday evening of each month at 6:30 PM to network and to receive continuing education. Our programs focus on providing current information concerning the “Green Industry.” GCLA sponsors provide a delicious meal at each meeting and are given opportunity to speak about their product consistent with the association's mission and educational component. January 14th Mid-Atlantic STIHL will sponsor our membership meeting and it will be held at Little Pigs BBQ on Alpine Road at 6:30 pm -Our speaker will be Ron Cowart from Midlands Technical College This will be our "Kick-Off-Party for the GCLA's 20th anniversary. February 11th -Corbin Turf, Syngenta, and USC Sports Turf and Landscaping will sponsor our February meeting and it will be held at the USC Baseball stadium. Thanks so much to Derek Oglesby, Corbin Turf, Larry Feller, Syngenta, Clark Cox, USC's Director for Sports Turf and Landscaping.
March 11th - Hi Cotton Greenhouses and the Riverbanks Zoo and Garden will sponsor our March membership meeting - The meeting will be held at Riverbanks Zoo ~in the Ndoki Lodge - Attendees will enter through the Ndoki Gatewway. (Go left towards the main entrance when they enter the zoo parking lot. and go past the main entrance and the Ndoki Gateway will be on their right and it will be lighted and well marked.) There will be a Gate Attendant to direct you to the Lodge. We will have two speakers, Melodie Scott Leach, Director of Habitat Horticulture and Ed Diebold, Director of Animal Collections and Conservation. Ms. Leach will speak about horticulture at Riverbanks and Mr. Diebold will speak about the Association of Zoos & Aquariums accreditation process. April 8th - Palmetto Lawn & Leisure will sponsor our April meeting and our meeting will be held at their location on Hwy. 378.Thanks to all for your sponsorship

June 101th - Long Branch Farms will sponsor and it will be held at their Bluff Road location -Thanks to our new sponsor for a wonderful meeting.
July 89th - Carolina Fresh Farms will sponsor and it will be held at their Two Notch location - Thanks for a great steak dinner and for the information shared.
August 12th - John Deere Landscapes - Comfort Inn at Bush River Road and I-26 (behind H. Rubin Vision Center) Guest speaker will be A. J. Hepner from FMC. He will be discusing Nutsedge Control and will offer a CEU for Commercial Applicators with license. Additionallym, JDL will offer a couple of give-aways to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the GCLA. Thanks JDL for a great meeting and for making the CEU's available.
September 9th - 6:30 PM Love Chevrolet Company and Pioneer Tree Servicewill sponsor our Auction and it will be held at the Love location in Harbison - Thanks all for a super auction. We had 72 in attendence and made $8, 042.50. Thanks to our sponsors, donors and purchasers.
October 14th - W. P. Law, Inc will sponsor our membership meeting and it will held at their location on Riverchase Way - Thanks for a wonderful meeting - food and information were great!
November 112th - Catoe's Power Equipment will sponsor our membership meeting and it will be held at their location at 4012 W. Beltline Blvd. Our speaker will be Bruce Sheppard and the topic will be "Growing Your Business Through Diversification. Thanks Catoe's for a wonderful meeting- food and information were great!
December 9th -banquet - Our banquet will be held at Senate's End, 300 Senate Street, Columbia, SC. Cocktails begin at 6:00 pm and dinner program begins at 6:30 pm. Tickets are $25.00 per person.
